Springfield police looking for hit-and-run driver who injured pedestrian

The victim, an adult, has been taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center. The victim's condition was not immediately known, Lt. Krantz said. 

Police found the vehicle a few blocks away, abandoned, he said. 

The incident was reported just before 7 p.m. as a pedestrian strike on Damascus, near West John Street. 

If you believe you saw the driver or someone running from a vehicle near Damascus, you are asked to call police dispatch, 937-324-7680.
