Rare January tornado rips through eastern Ohio

A tornado with winds measuring around 100 m.p.h  touched down Tuesday and traveled for 4 and a half miles near Cortland, Ohio in Trumbull County.

Multiple power lines were reported down in the area and several trees were damaged.

 

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday’s tornado was the seventh tornado ever recorded in Ohio during the month of January.
