DETAILED FORECAST

Overnight: Scattered showers will persist through the overnight hours, though the heaviest of the rain has passed, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Dontae Jones said. Temperatures will be rising through the 50s. Winds will continue to gust, with more possible damage and spotty power outages possible.

Friday: Scattered showers are likely to continue throughout the morning, until a cold front introduces dry, cold air by the mid to late afternoon. Highs will sit in the upper 50s around noon before cold air returns. Wind gusts could once again top off between 25 and 30 mph.

Saturday: A typical winter day with mostly cloudy skies and high temperatures in the mid to upper 30s.

Sunday: A bit more sunshine expected for Sunday with highs near 40 degrees.

New Year's Eve: Another system develops and approaches on Monday to bring a brief bout of warmth and rain. Temperatures will push to near 50 degrees with rain likely throughout the day.

New Year's Day: Partly cloudy Tuesday with some showers possible. Highs reach the upper 30s before much colder air arrives Wednesday.
