Overnight rains break up for partly sunny Friday but return tomorrow

We are seeing showers and storms in the early hours this morning, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. However, the rain is predicted to break up by day, with Friday’s forecast calling for partly sunny skies, gradually becoming more sunny with a high near 51 degrees. Tonight, though, the clouds are predicted to return, bringing low temperatures to around 35 degrees.

The rain will come back for Saturday, mainly during the afternoon and lingering into Saturday night. Otherwise it will be cloudy with a high near 41 degrees. After sunset, as temperatures fall the rain will begin to mix with snow before gradually ending. Temperatures will fall to around 30 degrees. Little, if any, of the snow is expected to accumulate.

Sunday will be a return to clear, but not exactly warm weather, with sunny skies and a high near 47 degrees. Sunday night will stay mostly clear, with temperatures dropping to around 31 degrees.
