Listen to Springfield News-Sun now on Amazon Alexa

There’s a new way to get Clark and Champaign Counties’ local news. Now, thanks to the Springfield News-Sun, Amazon Alexa users can listen to news that gets you caught up on what’s happening in our community.

All you need to do is enable the Springfield News-Sun flash briefing in your Amazon app, then ask Alexa “What’s in the news?” You’ll get a briefing telling you what you need to know, from the news organization dedicated to covering Clark and Champaign counties.

How to enable the flash briefing:

  1. Open your Alexa app 
  2. Click the menu on the upper left 
  3. Select “Skills” 
  4. Type “Springfield News-Sun” in the “Search all skills” box 
  5. Click “Springfield News-Sun” and enable the skill

How to hear Springfield News-Sun as your first flash briefing:

  1. From the menu, select “Settings” 
  2. Select “Flash briefing” 
  3. Click “Edit order” 
  4. Slide “Springfield News-Sun” up 
  5. Click “Done” on the top right
