Hurricane relief donation collection at Company 7 BBQ in Englewood

Hurricane relief donations are being collected in the Dayton area on Saturday, Sept. 22 and Sunday, Sept. 23 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Ohio Senior Resources, in collaboration with God’s Grace Food Pantry, will be in the back parking lot of Company 7 BBQ, 1001 S. Main Street, to collect toiletries and essential items for hurricane relief in North Carolina, according to a release.

The items most needed are canned meals, paper products, diapers, baby items, hygiene products, single-serving snacks, peanut butter, cleaning supplies and disinfectant wipes, the release stated.

“I was sitting at home watching the coverage and my daughter looked at me and said, ‘dad what can we do to help these people?’ so it got me thinking,” said volunteer Mike Foley.

“We were lucky to have Company 7 loan us their parking lot to be able to collect these items,” he said.

Once the trailer is full, driver’s will transport the donations to victims of Hurricane Florence.
