High water reported across Miami Valley in wake of Monday storms

The National Weather Service reported high water in areas across the Miami Valley after storms moved through the area on Monday.

Heavy rains expected through tomorrow have prompted a Flash Flood Watch in effect until 8 p.m. Tuesday for the entire region.

Flood Advisory is in effect through 10:45 a.m. for Butler and Warren counties, issued by the National Weather Service.

Butler County

  • High water was reported in Middletown near Wilson Park at McGee Avenue and Jackson Lane.

Clark County

  • A car was reported stuck in high water around 7:15 p.m. on Erter Road in Springfield
  • High water was reported on Villa Road and on John Street between Ohio 72 and Selma Street, near Clark State Community College
  • High water was reported on Ra-Mar Drive in Springfield Twp

Greene County

  • High water was reported around 7 p.m. on state Route 72 north of Cedarville

Montgomery County

  • High water was reported on U.S. 35 near Preble County Line Road

Warren County

  • A few roads were reported with high water in Carlisle, including Central Avenue, which is closed near Sunset Drive
