Davidson will be sworn in today

Congressman-elect Warren Davidson will be sworn into office in Washington later today.

U.S. Speaker of the House Paul Ryan will hold a ceremonial swearing-in for Davidson, the newly elected Ohio 8th Congressional District representative, today at around 2 p.m. Davidson, 46, of Troy, will be sworn in on the House floor immediately following the ceremonial swearing-in.

Davidson, a former Army Ranger, won election to former House Speaker John Boehner's congressional seat by a landslide on Tuesday. He described Tuesday's victory as a "surreal" moment.

The 8th Congressional District consists of all of Butler, Clark, Dark, Miami and Preble counties, and the southernmost portion of Mercer County.
