Quiet overnight, threat for storms returns late Thursday

Clouds will increase overnight with temperatures dropping into the middle 40s, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said. There is a chance for a shower by morning, mainly north.

Thursday: A mix of sun and clouds is expected with breezy southerly winds. An isolated shower or storm is possible during the day. A round of thunderstorms is expected to arrive late evening into the night. Some of these storms could be strong, possibly severe. Temperatures are expected to climb into the lower 70s during the afternoon, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said.

Friday: Clouds will linger with a chance for storms in the morning and passing showers into the afternoon. Temperatures will start the day near 60 degrees but fall into the 50s during the afternoon.

Saturday: Clouds will slowly break for some sunshine with highs seasonably cool, in the middle 50s.


Sunday: Partly sunny skies are expected with temperatures rebounding to near 60 degrees. There is a chance for a shower by late evening.

Monday: Scattered showers and a thunderstorm is possible, especially by late in the day. Highs will be in the middle 60s.
