Area afternoon thunderstorms leave downed trees, wires in their wake

Thunderstorms that rolled through the Dayton area Tuesday afternoon brought high winds that left trees and wires down in several places, according to scattered reports to area police and fire dispatchers.

No injuries have been reported with these events, all of which occurred between roughly 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.:

Montgomery County 

A tree was reported down at East Fairview and Newport avenues in Dayton

A tree was reported down in the 300 block of James H. McGee Boulevard in Dayton

There were reports of trees down in Vandalia

Limbs and telephone wires were reported down along Powell Road in Huber Heights

Greene County 

A tree is down in the 900 block of South Alpha Bellbrook Road in Sugarcreek Twp.

Trees reportedly are down on Swigart Road, which is closed at Soth Fairfield Road until further notice

Trees were reported down in Spring Valley

Clark County 

A tree and wires were reported down in the 1700 block of Fairfield Pike in Springfield.
