» TRENDING: No charges for shooter who claims self-defense in Springfield killing
Police were dispatched to a home in the 200 block of East McCreight Avenue in response to a domestic violence call. The victim in the case claimed Adkins choked her when she woke him up while he was sleeping on the couch, according to court records, leaving lacerations on her throat.
She said she then tried to move their daughter, but Adkins allegedly told her to put the child down and choked her again before allegedly hitting her with a closed fist and kicking her in the face hard enough to break her tooth, court records say.
