Baggs recently pleaded guilty in Clark County Common Pleas Court to two charges related to the September 2016 crash that killed Lawrence “Larry” Mason, of Medway.

Mason was standing on the side of North Tecumseh Road when he was allegedly struck and killed by a silver 2015 Dodge Durango, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol crash report.

Investigators said the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

Before her resignation, Baggs was a family and consumer science teacher in the district. She was placed on paid administrative suspension from the district after she was charged in November.

Kronour said he’ll be looking into how to proceed after receiving Baggs’ resignation.

“I’ll still need to follow up with the Ohio Department of Education’s Office of Professional Conduct and Licensure about what I need to do when someone’s license is in jeopardy,” he said.
