Indiana State Police are searching for a 40-year-old man in connection to a double shooting Thursday evening in Henry County.
James Brandon Swift was identified by police Thursday night as the suspect who shot his estranged wife, Sarah Swift, 33, and Caleb Broad, 34, outside a home in the 200 block of N. Main St. in Kennard.
Officers responded to the home around 5 p.m. following several 911 calls that a man and woman had been shot. Both were taken to hospitals in Indianapolis with multiple gunshot wounds and life-threatening injuries, Indiana State Police said.
Police are asking for the public’s help to find James Brandon Swift, a 6-foot-1-inch, 225-pound man with short, dark thinning hair who is to be considered armed and dangerous. He is believed to be driving a silver 2008 Dodge Avenger, Indiana license plate UTB689.
Anyone who spots Swift or his car is urged to call 911, the Pendleton State Police Post at 765-778-2121 or the Henry County Sheriff’s Department, 765-529-5201.
