Eagles Club reports break-in

BETHEL TWP., CLARK CO. — Would-be thieves in a stolen vehicle left empty handed from Eagles Social Club after they were unable to break into the safe.

Clark County Sheriff Deputies responded to 376 Quick Road at 4:30 a.m. Friday Dec. 25, on the report of several alarms tripped at the club. When deputies arrived they found an abandoned black Chevrolet Geo Tracker in the parking lot with its engine still running. Officers found the business broken into. It appeared the thieves had tried to steal money from the business but could not open the safe in a timely manner.

The Geo Tracker had been stolen from Scarff’s Nursery, 411 N. Dayton-Lakeview Road sometime prior to the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Clark County Sheriff’s Office at 328-2560.
