Broken pole closes New Carlisle intersection

Police are looking for a car with blue headlights which they say hit a utility pole Saturday at Galewood Drive and Kennison Avenue. They said blue headlight glass was found at the scene. The vehicle was gone.

The pole, which had a street light at the top, was broken in the middle. New Carlisle Fire Capt. Doug Pierson said there was concern that the light might fall into traffic.
