Blind, abandoned Yorkie in West Virginia finds new home -- and gets vision back

A blind Yorkie in West Virginia has beat the odds: he was found on the side of a road in July--completely blind--and he has since made a full recovery.

The Yorkie, named Winston, was found zipped up in a lunch bag and weighed down by a book on the side of a road. That's when the Humane Society stepped in and treated him.

They received plenty of donations from strangers--including some from Winston's current owners, Casey and Kelley Johnson--to nurse him back to life.

Now all he needed was a family. "I knew when I first saw this dog I had to have him. I mean, everything he's been through...he should hate everybody. He doesn't. He hates nobody," Casey said.

Casey and Kelly are enjoying life with Winston more than ever before.

"He's not a dog. He's family," said Casey.
