Skies are sunny today but temperatures will remain below normal with a high near 30 degrees.

Temperatures won’t vary much tonight, which will be mostly clear with an overnight low around 27, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

For the curious-minded, the seasonal snowfall of 0.9 inch at Dayton International Airport so far this season through today is tied for the fourth lowest amount of snow season-to-date on record. It’s the slowest start to the snow season since 1983 at the site, the NWS said.

A brief warmup starts Wednesday, which will be partly sunny with a high near 43 degrees. Wednesday night will be mostly cloudy, with a slight chance of rain after 2 a.m. The overnight low will be around around 31.

Thursday starts with a slight chance of rain and snow before 11 a.m., then a slight chance of rain between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy and not quite as warm with a high near 40. Thursday night will be mostly cloudy with an overnight low around 26 degrees.

Partly sunny skies end the workweek with a high just above freezing near 33. Friday night will be mostly cloudy with an overnight low around 26 degrees.
