Yellow Springs Street Fair will overflow with art, street performers, live music and food

The Yellow Springs Street Fair and Music & Beer Fest — a day of art, music, street performers, food and beer — will take over the village Saturday.

The street fair, held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 12 in downtown Yellow Springs, will feature more than 250 handmade arts and crafts vendors.

Entertainment includes Egyptian Breeze, a local belly dancing troupe. Smaller musical acts will perform on the Soin Stage, and street musicians and performers will roam the event.

Bands will begin performing at the John Bryan Community Center at noon. Among the acts will be Kyle Eldridge, Jojo Stella, Mojo Power, and award-winning Ontario, Canada-based rockers Rose Cora Perry & The Truth Untold.

Craft beer will be available from Yellow Springs Brewery and visitors can support waste reduction and save money on beer by purchasing a reusable stainless-steel cup.

A free shuttle bus, running from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., will be available from Young’s Dairy, 6800 Springfield-Xenia Road, or Yellow Springs High School, 420 E. Enon Road. A free Bike Miami Valley bike valet service will be located at the corner of Dayton Street and Ohio 68.

The Yellow Springs Street Fair is free. Disability accessible parking is available at the municipal lot on Corry Street. The event is a pet free festival.
