Cancer survivors get in free and line the grounds with luminaries, according to a release. Every hour on the hour names will be read in remembrance or support of loved ones battling the disease.

The gates to Clifton Mill open at 5 p,m. and the Legendary Lights of Clifton Mill go on precisely at 6 p.m. More than 4.2 million lights brighten the night instantly, transforming the mill and gorge into a shimmering world of Christmas wonder.

Last year, the Legendary Lights of Clifton Mill won $50,000 in ABC TV’s “The Great Christmas Light Fight.”

Every hour the covered bridge at the historic site lights up to synchronized music. Other attractions include a miniature village and thousands of Santa Claus toys and depictions dating back to 1850.

Clifton Mill is located in the Greene County village of Clifton, three miles east of Yellow Springs on Ohio 343, six miles south of Springfield on Ohio 72, and three miles north of Cedarville on Ohio 72.
