The cutest weekend of the year is just days away.
Farm Babies Fest at Aullwood Farm is back. This year the festival will span two days — Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19 — giving visitors two chances to spend time with adorable animal babies.
“Farm Babies Fest is one of our biggest festivals where we try to highlight all of these cute little guys and girls,” said Mindy Lloyd, Aullwood’s large animal veterinary technician. “It’s fun to see the babies playing and just being babies.”
Nigerian dwarf goats born at the end of April, American guinea hogs born earlier this month and Tunis lambs just a month old will be among the young farm animals on view.
There is a full slate of activities planned for the weekend at the farm. The event will also have tractor pull wagon rides ($1 per person), free children’s activities with games and crafts, a children’s story hour, a plant sale and more.
Food vendors will serve a variety of food including brick-oven pizzas, gourmet sandwiches, hot dogs, kettle corn and flavored shaved ice.
Admission to the event at Aullwood Farm, 9101 Frederick Pike, is $10 per car.
