Gown donation: A gown donation program to provide local underprivileged high school girls homecoming dresses — “100 Dresses for 100 Years of Disney Magic — has been extended through Sept. 15. Those wishing to clear their closets of last year’s gowns can donate them to Clothes That Work, 1133 Edwin Moses Blvd., during business hours (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Each person who brings in a dress (or dresses), will be given one free ticket to “Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic.”

If you’re looking for a weekend activity to entertain the kids or are just looking for a block of time to recapture your youth, “Disney on Ice: 100 Years of Magic” may be just the ticket.

The touring show, headed to Hara Arena in Trotwood, promises to bring back 65 of its most memorable characters from 18 magical Disneyfied stories.
