Local musicians Rob Paddock and John Wobbe will be on the Kuss Auditorium stage when the Springfield Arts Council’s “4 Girls 4” show hits Springfield on May 2.
Paddock will play drums, and Wobbe will play bass.
It began with a call to Arts Council managing artistic director Tim Rowe. He said, “(‘4 Girls 4’ music director) John McDaniel called me a few weeks ago to ask if I knew a drummer and bass player from the area who could play in the Broadway/cabaret style, and I immediately thought of John and Rob.
“Rob’s a well-respected area percussionist, and John Wobbe and I go back to my days of performing in nightclubs. It’s great that these two talented musicians will be on hand to accompany these Broadway stars for a fantastic evening of entertainment,” Rowe said.
Wobbe plays with local band CrossOver and is also on the Springfield Arts Council board.
