One of the most wanted men on college campuses is one of Urbana’s own.
Comedian/magician Michael Kent earned “2014 Entertainer of the Year” from Campus Activities Magazine and “2014 Magician of the Year” by the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities for his 80-100 shows a year at colleges.
Kent will return to his hometown for a family-friendly performance at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at the Gloria Theatre.
The show is presented by the Champaign Arts Council and the GrandWorks Foundation.
Kent is a 1997 graduate of Urbana High School and graduated from Ohio State University. He lives in Columbus.
Urbana is one of the stops on Kent’s 36-date fall tour, which will take him all over the Midwest, east and Southern United States. He performs here several times a year.
