Yogurt giant Dannon to build new distribution center in Ohio

Yogurt manufacturer the Dannon Company is building a distribution center in Ohio.

The company will build a new 300,000-square-foot building structure in Minster, Ohio, where the company already has a plant. The new structure will have 50 dock doors and five penthouses for refrigeration equipment.

Dayton-based architectural firm Woolpert will design the structure, and also provided structural steel design services for the warehouse. Dannon, headquartered in White Plains, N.Y., produces more than 200 varieties of yogurts and related dairy products at its sites in Ohio, Texas, Utah and Oregon.

The Dayton Daily News has reached out to Dannon to confirm if the project will result in job creation for the state.
