Urbana University looking for employers for March career fair

Urbana University is hosting a career fair on Tuesday, March 24 in partnership with OhioMeansJobs Champaign County.

The career fair will start at 9 a.m. and last until 1 p.m. It will be held at the Student Center at Urbana University.

The fair is designed to help students, alumni and members find full-time employment. There will also be opportunities for work-based learning experiences such as internships, co-op programs, summer jobs and volunteer opportunities.

The schedule for the career field includes a one-hour period, starting at 9 a.m. for Urbana High School and Mechanicsburg High School students as well as another one-hour period, starting at 10 a.m. for Triad High School and Graham High School students.

The university will also be offering a career preparation workshop series to prepare students for internship opportunities, graduate school and other work-based experiences. The workshops are open to all community members, including high school students.

There will be a resume writing workshop on Feb. 25 at the Moore Math and Science Building that will start at 7 p.m. A resume review workshop will be held at the same location on March 18 and will start at 7 p.m.
