The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the need for vets – both for large and small animals – will grow by 22,000 by 2016, making it one of the fastest-growing professions. And currently Clark County farms raise more than 36,000 head of livestock, which includes almost 1,200 horses in addition to the 62 percent of homeowners who have a pet, according to the press release.
