Stratacache, the Dayton-based provider of digital sign and marketing technology, will announce plans today to hire 20 to 30 new employees during the coming three years to staff a new testing and development facility in Moraine.

Stratacache officials said the recently purchased building will house the company’s expanded integrated services operation.

“As Stratacache continues to grow rapidly and expand our business as a leading global technology company, we needed additional space to facilitate expanded customer integration services,” said Chris Riegel, Stratacache’s chief executive.

The 100,000-square-foot facility will serve as the new center for development, testing and integration of Stratacache’s award-winning Spectra series media players and new display technology products, said Rachel Wendel, a company spokeswoman.

Spectra media players control applications such as digital signage and live or on-demand video, according to the company’s website.

The Moraine building is Stratacache’s fifth facility in the Dayton region, bringing the company’s total to more than 250,000 square feet of local engineering, design, administrative, support and service space.

“This shows our continued commitment to the Dayton region and demonstrates that world class, high-tech companies can grow successfully in Dayton,” Riegel said.

The new building’s street address, purchase price and opening date were not available, Wendel said.

Stratacache increasingly is known for providing computer-controlled signs and menus for McDonald’s restaurants and sports arenas.

The company in 2010 formed SuperLumin Networks, a subsidiary to develop products based on Stratacache’s work in computer cache technology.

Stratacache is headquartered at 2 Riverplace, just north of downtown Dayton. The privately held company has about 120 companies around the world, including about 50 in Dayton.
