Rohr named general manager of Cox Media Group Ohio

DAYTON — Cox Media Group Ohio has appointed Rob Rohr as its general manager following the transfer of Brian Cooper, senior vice president of CMG Ohio operations, to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as senior vice president of finance and business operations.

“I’m delighted to be able to appoint Rob to this role,” said Julia Wallace, market vice president for CMG Ohio. “It speaks to the great leadership depth we have within this organization. He has molded a highly successful sales team that understands our various markets. His smart strategic thinking will be an asset now to even more of the organization.”

A graduate of Miami University, Rohr’s first position was as an advertising salesperson for the Dayton Daily News in 1993. For 19 years Rob has held a variety of sales and leadership positions in CMG Ohio’s revenue areas. He has managed a high-functioning sales organization with consistently increasing results.

Rob resides in Springboro with his wife, Cathy, and two sons, Collin and Ethan.
