One of Springfield’s El Toro’s completes move to new location

One of Springfield’s El Toro’s has completed renovations and moved into a new location.

El Toro Mexican Bar & Grill has moved to 1781 N. Bechtle Ave. from 2017 N. Bechtle Ave. after nearly seven months of renovations. The restaurant stayed open at 2017 N. Bechtle until renovations were completed.

The restaurant opened at the new location on Monday, according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

“Monday we’ll be moving to our new location at 1781 N. Bechtle Ave!” The post said. The road outside of the restaurant is also decorated with, “Now open” signs.

Enrique Alvarez, the manager of El Toro in Springfield, said previously the move was due to parking issues.

Alvarez said the location change will also be good for business as it sits in view of a more popular shopping center.

The business that previously occupied 1781 N. Bechtle Ave. was Sakura Japanese Restaurant, which relocated to the adjacent building, 1785 N. Bechtle Ave., a couple of months ago.

El Toro’s other Springfield location is at 2100 S. Limestone St.
