Littleton & Rue Funeral Home & Crematory receives national recognition

NEW ORLEANS — Littleton & Rue Funeral Home & Crematory, 830 N. Limestone St., Springfield, received the 2010 Pursuit of Excellence Award by the National Funeral Directors Association during the organization’s convention this week in New Orleans. One hundred sixty-six firms from around the world received this recognition, placing Littleton & Rue among an elite group of funeral service professionals.

Pursuit of Excellence Award recipients raise the bar on funeral service excellence by adhering to the highest ethical and professional standards and providing unsurpassed service to families and communities, according to the organization.

Littleton & Rue was also one of eight funeral homes that received “Best of the Best,” an award that recognizes funeral homes for their development and execution of an innovative program or service that had a positive impact on those served.

Littleton & Rue founded a program called, LiveNow – Promoting an Active Lifestyle. LiveNow promotes active living and fitness in Clark County through ilivenow.org and community programs.

“It’s an honor to receive this award,” said Rob Rue, Vice-President and Co-Owner of Littleton & Rue.
