Hotel offers deals for pet travelers


Red Roof hotels are offering rewards for travelers with pets.

The hotel chain is offering a 15 percent discount on any travelers with pets, while animals are welcome at the hotels at no additional charge regularly. The chain said more people are looking for hotel experiences that offer deals with pets.

The deal extends now through March 31.

“We want guests to have the option of bringing their pets along, without the extra fees and hassles,” says Marina MacDonald, chief marketing officer of Red Roof. “Knowing that guests desire a worry-free experience, Red Roof is doing everything to welcome pet travelers with clean and comfortable stays, no extra charges, and other incentives and personal touches.”

Traveling with pets has risen substantially, according to the company, as 46 percent of Americans own a dog and 37 percent own a cat. Red Roof has more than 500 properties in the U.S., and has also expanded to Brazil, Canada, Thailand and Japan.

Red Roof has locations in Dayton, Springfield and the northern Cincinnati area.
