Hartzell Air Movement receives ISO certification

PIQUA — Hartzell Air Movement, a Piqua-based industrial ventilation company, has become ISO 9001:2008 certified. Hartzell officials said the certification will help the company improve its products and processes, and make it more consistent.

“With our growth in international sales, having the ISO 9001:2008 certification will be a big benefit,” said Tom Gustafson, chief technology officer.

Hartzell Air Movement is a maker of general and process ventilation equipment, from propeller fans to turbo pressure blowers. The company has been in business since 1875 and has manufacturing facilities in Ohio, Indiana and Singapore.

ISO is the only internationally recognized standards organization. Companies who are ISO 9001 certified report improved delivery times, increased productivity and a reduction in scrap and waste, officials said. DAVE LARSEN
