Pop-up Halloween stores are making use of major vacant retail spaces, this time in area malls.
Temporary Halloween stores that fill tens of thousands of square feet like Spirit Halloween and Halloween City traditionally transform vacant stores into a Halloween hotspot for a couple months each year. With more than a dozen area Elder Beerman and Sears stores closing last year, many are setting up shop inside the mall anchors.
