Eyeglasses, contacts chain store opens in Springfield

National Vision has expanded into Springfield and opened an America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses.

The contacts and eyeglasses store is located at 1624 N. Bechtle Ave. in Springfield. Residents can get a free eye exam by a professional optometrist and two pairs of eyeglasses for $69.95. In addition, the store is also equipped with state-of-the-art optometry equipment to ensure customers get the best eye care available, a statement from America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses.

“America’s Best believes that everyone deserves to see their best to live their best, and our company mission is to help people by making quality eye care and eyewear more affordable and accessible,” the statement said. “The Springfield community will now have access to more affordable and accessible quality eye care and eyewear.”

The statement goes on to say that eye exams, beyond providing prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lens, can detect hundreds of potential health concerns.

“By offering eye exams and a huge selection of frames at a low price, many of Springfield’s residents that previously could not afford vision care now have the opportunity to see and improve their optical health,” the statement said.

Prior to the location opening on North Bechtle Avenue, the closest America’s Best was located in Dayton on Wilmington Pike.

National Vision is one of the largest optical retail companies in the United States with more than 1,000 stores in 44 states, according to their website. The company operates five retail divisions; America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, Eyeglass World, Vision Centers inside select Walmart stores and Vista Opticals inside Oregon-based Fred Meyer supermarkets and on select military bases.
