State report shows Clark, Champaign counties add jobs

Both Clark and Champaign counties added jobs in October, according to a monthly jobs report released today.

Clark County added about 1,000 jobs for the month, and the unemployment rate remained flat at 4.2 percent.

Champaign County also added about 300 jobs, according to the report from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. The unemployment rate there dropped to 3.7 percent in October.

Statewide Ohio added 30,800 jobs last month and the unemployment rate fell to 4.4 percent, its lowest level in more than 14 years.
