Bellefontaine brewery named best beer bar in Ohio


When it comes to finding the best beer bar in Ohio, a Bellefontaine bar has taken top honors.

Brewfontaine, located at 211 S. Main St. in Bellefontaine, won best beer bar in Ohio in the annual Great American Beer Bars competition.

The competition is based on public voting, with the bar receiving more than 7,000 votes.

Voters were asked to choose their favorite bars based on multiple aspects, including atmosphere, staff, beer selection, and special events.

Owner Adam Rammel spoke to CraftBeer.com and explained the secret to their success is their variety and spontaneity of the bar.

“We’re known for being the place that never has the same beer lineup,” Rammel said. “If you visit us today and again tomorrow, the tap list will not be the same.”

Brewfontaine will have a public thank you celebration on from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday, March 9.
