Meijer is recalling certain brands of dark chocolate products on milk allergy concerns.

Working with GKI Foods LLC, Meijer is voluntarily recalling certain Meijer-branded bulk dark chocolate, the company said this weekend.

This recall is an extension of the GKI Foods LLC recall announced recently.

“People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products,” Meijer said.

The products have been sold at Meijer stores in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin. There have been no illnesses reported to date, the grocer said.
