Snow across the region: More flurries possible tomorrow, cold temps continue

After waking up to several inches of snow Tuesday, the region could see additional flurries Wednesday night.

The area is waking up to several inches of snow after a winter snow prompted snow emergencies and weather advisories.

Here’s what you should know:

• More snow: Another round of snow is possible late Wednesday and early Thursday. Less than half an inch is expected for most areas, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. Slick spots and icy roads are also possible.

• Cold temps: Below normal temperatures are expected for the rest of the week. Highs will mostly be in the low 30s and upper 20s through Friday.

• Emergency lifted: The snow emergency has been removed for Clark, Darke, Greene, Montgomery Preble and Warren counties.

• Advisory ends: A Winter Weather Advisory for the region ended at 10 a.m.

• Wright-Patt closed: Wright-Patterson Air Force Base announced it would be closed on Tuesday because of the snowy and icy conditions. The base expects to reopen on Wednesday.

• Sinclair delay: Sinclair Community College locations are on a two-hour delay. All on-campus classes and labs will start at 10 a.m.

• Falling fast: The NWS said overnight that snow was falling at more than a half-inch per hour. As of Tuesday afternoon, most communities were reporting between 3 to 5 inches of snow. The most snow in the several-state region was in Rushville, Indiana, which reported 6.8 inches of snow.

At its office in Wilmington, the weather service reported 4.2 inches of snow. Other reports in the area included:

— Greensville, 6 inches

— Troy, 5.3 inches

— Enon, 5 inches

— Bellbrook, 4.5 inches

— Moraine, 4.3 inches

— Miamisburg, 4 inches

• The radar: As of 7 a.m., the weather radar looked clear as the snow had moved out of the region.
