Cold front arrives Wednesday, bringing cooldown

  • Warm, muggy overnight; maybe a shower late
  • Widespread showers by Wednesday afternoon
  • Much cooler air arrives for end of week, weekend

Tonight: Clouds will be on the increase with a few showers arriving late. The best chance for showers will be over eastern Indiana and areas west of Interstate 75. Some wet weather will also be possible in parts of the area for the morning commute, but the impact will be low. Lows near 70.

Wednesday: Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible during the day, especially in the afternoon and evening. With more clouds and the chance for rain, this will make for a cooler day with highs in the low 80s. More showers will be possible in the evening as a cold front slowly works across the area and briefly stalls out. Lows in the low to mid-60s.

Thursday: Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy through the day with a chance for lingering showers, mainly early. Temperatures will be noticeably cooler with highs in the upper 70s.

Friday: Skies will be partly cloudy early with more clouds during the afternoon. There is a slight chance for a passing shower late in the day. Highs will be in the middle 70s.

Saturday: Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected as another reinforcing shot of cooler, fall-like air arrives. There will be a slight chance for a passing shower or two during the day. Highs will only top out in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.

Sunday: A pleasant, early fall-like day is expected under partly to mostly sunny skies. Highs will top out near 70 degrees.
