Wright State’s full basketball schedule is out.
After an exhibition game at home against Cedarville on Nov. 2, the Raiders will open the season at Southern Illinois on Nov. 11, although that was previously announced.
On Wednesday the Horizon League announced the conference schedule for each team via social media.
In their first season under head coach Scott Nagy, the Raiders will begin conference play on the road Dec. 29 at Oakland then play at Detroit Mercy two days later.
The Horizon League home opener is against Cleveland State on Jan. 5 with Youngstown State coming to the Nutter Center two days later.
The 18-game conference slate will feature a home-and-home with every league foe.
Defending regular season champion Valparaiso will visit the Nutter Center on Feb. 24. The Crusaders will be under the direction of a new head coach (Matt Lottich), but their lineup will still feature standout forward Alec Peters, who declared for the NBA draft before opting to return for his senior season.
Wright State will host Green Bay, the team that beat the Raiders in the Horizon League championship game last spring, on Feb. 11.
The Raiders will have three straight home games in February against Northern Kentucky, Milwaukee and Green Bay, and they finish the regular season with home games against Valpo and UIC.
The Horizon League tournament is set for March 3-7 in Detroit, where Joe Louis Arena will host the event for the second straight season.
The Raiders went 22-13 last season, including a 13-5 mark in Horizon League play and a 13-2 record at the Nutter Center.
They won three games in the conference tournament but were denied an NCAA tournament bid by 78-69 loss in the title game to the Phoenix.
Three days later, coach Billy Donlon was fired despite posting a 109-94 record in six seasons.
Nagy was hired April 4 after 21 seasons at South Dakota State, where he was 410-240 and guided the Jackrabbits from a Division II program to Division I.
