Tipp surged to a 26-20 halftime lead with 14-2 run to close the half. After KR scored the first seven points of the second half to take the lead, Tipp responded with an 11-0 run. KR trailed by as many as 10 before cutting the Tipp lead to 44-43 with 2:20 left.
Brook Aselage added 10 points for Tipp. Mikala Morris led KR with 12 points and Kirsten Wiley added 11.
