The Fairmont girls basketball squad got off to a hot start and cruised to a 64-36 win versus host Mason on Thursday.

Madeline Westbeld posted 19 points with 10 boards and five steals to lead the way for Fairmont.

Madison Bartley added 17 points and Mallory Hullinger 11.

The victory bumped Fairmont to 7-1 overall.

Girls Basketball

Arcanum 75, National Trail 34: Taylor Gray and Kayla O’Daniel totaled 18 points apiece and Hailey Unger added 15 to help Arcanum move to 4-0 in conference play.

Carlisle 62, Northridge 21: Caitlyn Stewart became Carlisle’s all-time three point basket leader in the win.

Catholic Central 86, Northeastern 27: Abbigail Peterson and Mallory Mullen combined for 55 points to help Catholic Central win a seventh straight game, moving to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in league play.

Fort Loramie 75, New Bremen 28: Taylor Ratermann drilled five three-point shots on her way to 20 points for unbeaten Fort Loramie. Madison Cordonnier had 13 points for New Bremen.

Franklin Monroe 66, Covington 23: Corina Conley finished with 19 points and Belle Cable tacked on 15 for Franklin Monroe.

Hamilton 53, Winton Woods 51: Jayden Isaacs led Hamilton with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Anna Cardwell added 13 points and Alessa Harrison 11 boards.

Lehman Catholic 61, Upper Scioto Valley 46: Hope Anthony and Heidi Toner had 12 points apiece and Tori Lachey added 10 to lead Lehman Catholic.

Mechanicsburg 63, Madison Plains 31: Kasey Schipfer poured in 30 points and Taylor Rausch added 13 to help Mechanicsburg improve to 9-0.

Miami East 28, Bradford 26: Rori Hunley had 10 points for Miami East. Austy Miller led Bradford with 18 points.

Middletown 53, Dunbar 39: Aryanna Ingram recorded 17 points with 13 rebounds and Keke Gregory added 14 points for Middletown. Briyanna Combs tallied 16 points with 10 rebounds for Dunbar.

Monroe 48, Brookville 19: Brooklyn Miltenberger netted 16 points and Kylee Slone and Paige Frazier added 10 apiece for Monroe.

Newton 56, Ansonia 42: Camryn Gleason put up 20 points and Jaden Stine added 14 along with a good defensive effort to lead Newton.

Preble Shawnee 44, Milton-Union 32: Campbell Jewell scored 15 points and Liv Thompson 11 to pace Preble. Jayla Gentry had eight points with eight rebounds for Milton.

Russia 49, Fairlawn 31: Kate Sherman paced Russia with 14 points. Lonna Heath had 11 for Fairlawn.

Triad 41, Southeastern 38: Frani and Cati LeVan combined for 29 points to lead Triad.

Boys Basketball

Tippecanoe 65, Greenville 36: Zach Frederick tallied 21 points and Ben Knostman and Cole Coppock tacked on 12 apiece to lead Tippecanoe in a make-up game. Nolan Curtis scored 12 points for Greenville.

Miami Valley League Dual Team Tournament: Host Butler won the inaugural tournament.

Butler 2449, Greenville 2143: Ben French shot a career-high 543 series and Elijah Walters added a 424 to help Butler improve to 3-0 in conference play.

Lebanon 2476, Springboro 2158: Gabe Taulbee posted games of 235 and 280 to help Lebanon move to 8-0.

Middletown 2688, Fenwick 2258: Ethan Rowe averaged 218 and Austin Smith had a pair of 213 games to lead Middletown.

Butler 1787, Greenville 1571: Bre Kroeker bowled a 414 series to help Butler move to 3-0 in conference play.

Middletown 1906, Fenwcik 1481: Rhianne Theiss rolled a career-high 203 game and Emily Cupp had a 222 for Middletown.

Tecumseh 2085, London 1494: Hannah Suver had the high series of 378 and Alaina Collins rolled the high game of 197 for Tecumseh.
