Report: Eifert’s Bengals season debut could be delayed

Pro Bowl tight end Tyler Eifert might not be back on the field as soon as he hoped.

Though he told reporters in Cincinnati this week he was aiming for being ready for the Bengals' season-opener Sept. 11, NFL.com reported Friday that isn't the timetable anymore.

Eifert suffered an ankle injury in the Pro Bowl and has been in recovery all offseason.
