Fairmont High School graduate Maddy Westbeld won the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week Award for the second time Monday.

Westbeld, a 6-foot-3 freshman forward at Notre Dame, averaged 13.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in victories against Miami and Georgia Tech.

Westbeld, the 2020 Gatorade Ohio Girls Basketball Player of the Year, has started all nine games and leads the Irish (5-4) with 16.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. She ranks 10th in the nation among Division I freshmen in scoring.
