Eifert officially ruled out for Cowboys game

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert missed his third consecutive practice today with the back injury he suffered Monday and has been ruled out for Sunday’s game in Dallas.

Also not practicing were wide receiver James Wright (hamstring) and cornerback Darqueze Dennard (non-injury related).

Wright also sat out Thursday and is listed as doubtful, which means rookie wide receiver Cody Core is likely to be active for the first time.

Left guard Clint Boling (shoulder) and offensive lineman Jake Fisher (back) were full participants in Friday’s light practice, but both are listed as questionable. Boling was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday, while Fisher was limited Wednesday before sitting out Thursday.

Even if both are active Sunday, the Bengals are likely to make rookie offensive lineman Christian Westerman active for the first time this season in case either Boling or Fisher further aggravate their injuries.

The only other player on the injury report is running back/kick returner Rex Burkhead, who is questionable with a hamstring injury he suffered on the opening kickoff Sept. 29 against Miami.
