Dragons rained out; host Kane City today

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Midwest League baseball game between the Dayton Dragons and West Michigan Whitecaps was canceled due to rain on Monday. The game will not be rescheduled because the two teams do not play again in the first half of the league’s split-season format.

West Michigan led 5-0 in the fourth inning when the first of two severe thunderstorms reached the ballpark, forcing a stoppage of play. The Dragons (20-31) return home to begin a three-game series with the Kane County Cougars at 7 p.m. today at Fifth Third Field.
