Jane Barbara
Age 95, of Centerville, Ohio, passed from this life on December 7, 2020. Jane was born on New Years Day in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Helen (Gnau) Lemming. Jane was preceded in death in 2009, by her husband of 58 years,
Albert B. Young, and her son, Christopher.
As a teenager, Jane worked as a dental assistant, and she liked to relate that one of her
patients was Orville Wright. After graduating from Wilbur Wright High School, she went to work for Ohio Bell, where she was on the bowling team and sang in the choir. She left Ohio Bell in November of 1951 to devote many years to raising her growing family. When most of the children were grown, she went to work at J.C. Penney Co., retiring in 1988. Jane and Al joined the Kettering Rec Center upon their retirement, and Jane attended water aerobics classes for nearly 30 years. Jane is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Kenneth) Schug; sons, Michael (Cathy) Young, Ned (Sally Struthers) Young, and Timothy Young; four grandchildren, Natalie
(Victor Salinas) Blommel, Thomas (Kelsey) Blommel, Alex
(Kadi) Young, and Anthony Struthers-Young; and great-grandchildren, Raine Todd, Jax Young, Knox Blommel and
