What are the conditions of the 5 Congressional baseball practice shooting victims?

Five people, including a Congressman, were shot Wednesday at a Congressional baseball team practice in Alexandria, Va. The assailant was killed by return gunfire from U.S. Capitol Police officers, including two who were wounded.

Here is a list of the victims hit during the attack by James T. Hodgkinson, 66, of Belleville, Ill., who died later in a hospital.

Rep. Steve Scalise, 51, Republican congressman

Injury: Shot in hip

Condition: Critical

Scalise is hospitalized at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, where he has had three surgeries since the shooting.

Bio: Scalise, who represents Louisiana's 1st Congressional District, is currently the No. 3 Republican in the House serving as Majority Whip. He was elected to Congress in 2008. He is married and has two children. The family resides in Jefferson, La.

Matt Mika, 38, government relations director, Tyson Foods, Washington office

Injuries: Shot twice in chest

Condition: Critical

Mika is hospitalized at George Washington University Hospital. His family released a statement saying Mika was shot multiple times and is in critical condition.

Bio: Mika is a former aide to Rep. Tim Walberg, R-Mich. A Michigan native, he is a graduate of Adrian College and earned a master's degree from Western Michigan University. The former baseball player reportedly volunteered to help the congressional team.

Crystal Griner, 32, Capitol Police officer assigned to Scalise

Injury: Shot in ankle

Condition: Good

Hospitalized at MedStar Washington Hospital Center

Bio: Griner graduated in 2006 from Hood College in Frederick, Md. where she majored in biology and was a guard on the basketball team, according to the Frederick News Post.

Zachary Barth, staff member of Rep. Roger Williams, R-Texas

Injury: Bullet wound in leg

Condition: After the shooting, Barth posted on Facebook that he was "in the hospital and okay." Williams tweeted out Barth was expected to make a full recovery.

Barth has been released from a hospital.

Bio: A native of Houston Barth is a 2015 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.

David Bailey, 32, Capitol Police officer assigned to Scalise

Injury: Minor

Condition: Treated and released

Bio: Bailey, a federal officer since 2008, majored in physical education and graduated from North Carolina Central University in 2007, according to the Durham Herald-Sun.
