Warmup coming this weekend

Rain on Sunday will end as snow late

Clouds will continue to stream in at times today with a southerly flow that will bring in even milder air. Highs will be in the mid-40s.

Sunday: A cold front will slowly push toward the area from the north. Areas of rain will develop in the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40s.

“The front will pass through in the late evening, allowing for a changeover to light snow for a bit,” Wirdzek said. “Little accumulation is expected, but roads may become slippery late at night as temps fall into the 20s.”

For parts south in the region, such as Butler and Warren counties, there will be fewer issues with snow but a few slick spots may be possible, Wirdzek said.

Monday: A few snow showers will be possible early in the morning, along with slippery roads for the morning commute. Temps won't climb much in the afternoon, even with some sun. Highs near 30.

Tuesday: Sun and some clouds is expected with highs in the mid-30s.

Wednesday: More clouds with a passing sprinkle or light shower is possible. Highs will be near 40 degrees.
