Roaring van fire blocks Limestone Street in Springfield

Limestone Street near Liberty Street was blocked in both directions on Springfield’s south side because of a van fire Wednesday morning.

The van was fully engulfed in flames, but no injuries were reported.

It’s not clear what caused the fire. The driver said the van lost power, so he stopped and it caught fire.
